What is lightweight gypsum mortar?


In fact, it's an environmentally friendly, durable, and economical new interior wall plastering material that completely replaces traditional cement mortar. Gypsum is one of the three main building materials. Gypsum mortar and gypsum building materials are green prefabricated building materials strongly advocated by the government and are key nationally promoted building materials. It not only possesses the strength of cement but is also healthier, more environmentally friendly, more economical, and more durable than cement. It also boasts strong adhesion, resists pulverization, cracking, hollowing, and shedding, and is easy to use and cost-effective.


Lightweight gypsum mortar is a green plastering material specifically designed for interior walls and ceilings. It is a high-performance interior wall base leveling material. Made from high-quality gypsum, lightweight aggregate, and environmentally friendly additives, it is scientifically formulated and fully automatically mixed, resulting in a refined, energy-saving wall material. However, traditional cement mortar has inherent shortcomings that are difficult to overcome. The cement industry is energy-intensive, highly polluting, and emits large amounts of waste, making it a key national goal to eliminate outdated production capacity. Replacing it with related products is imperative. Cement-based materials are inherently hydraulically hardening, brittle, and shrinking, resulting in poor water retention.

Product Advantages


1. Lightweight: 1 ton = 1.7 cubic meters = 170 square meters of wall surface (1 cm thickness). Each ton of this lightweight material produces a volume of 1.7 cubic meters, meaning one ton can scrape or spray a 170 square meter area, 2.5 times the area of standard plaster on the market.

2. 4x Improved Work Efficiency: This product boasts excellent fluidity and smoothness, enabling applicators to achieve four times the daily productivity of standard plaster, while also reducing construction time by four times.

3. Reduced Labor Quota: To produce 100 square meters of high-quality wall surface, the labor quota for the gypsum mixture is 83.4 hours, and for the cement-lime mixture is 167.2 hours. Compared to cement mortar, this eliminates numerous operational steps and saves approximately half the labor. 4. Energy Consumption: Producing one ton of gypsum powder reduces energy consumption by approximately 45% compared to producing one ton of cement, and reduces investment by over 50%.

For example, the thickness of a plaster layer can be less than 3mm, while a cement mortar layer requires a thickness of at least 20mm.

Auxiliary Insulation: When used in conjunction with external insulation, this can reduce the thickness of external insulation by 5-10mm, thereby reducing energy consumption for heating and cooling throughout the building.
